Enables the detection of liver diseases and the assessment of the severity of liver impairment.

The symptoms of liver impairment are loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, general weakness and malaise, skin itching and jaundice. Dark urine or light-coloured faeces may be due to liver, gall bladder and/or bile tract problems.

Certain drugs, excessive alcohol consumption and high body weight, diabetes and hypertension are detrimental to the liver. Liver impairment may also be caused by diseases, such as hepatitis B or C.

The panel includes 7 blood tests:

  • Alanine aminotransferase (ALAT) (Alaniini aminotransferaas (ALAT))
  • Gamma glutamyl transferase (GGT) (Gammaglutamüüli transferaas (GGT))
  • Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) (Aluseline fosfataas (ALP))
  • Bilirubin (Bilirubiin)
  • Prothrombin activity, index (INR) (Protrombiini aktiivsus, indeks (INR))
  • Hepatitis B virus c-antigen antibodies (HBcAb) (B-hepatiidi viiruse tuuma antigeeni vastased antikehad (HBc Ab))
  • Hepatitis C virus antibodies (HCV Ab) (C-hepatiidi viiruse vastane antikeha (sõeluuring) (HCV Ab))
